The Project 21300 vessel of the Pacific Fleet is equipped with advanced sonar equipment

The crew of the rescue vessel "Igor Belousov" (Project 21300) of the Pacific Fleet rescued a conditionally distressed submarine that was on the ground. The exercises took place in the waters of Peter the Great Bay. This was reported by the press service of the fleet.

According to the legend of the exercises, the submarine reported a technical malfunction and sat on the bottom (a submarine model was used).

"Igor Belousov", equipped with the latest sonar equipment, promptly identified the location of the submarine and began reconnaissance of the area using a remotely operated underwater vehicle.

The sailors lowered the rescue vehicle "AS-40" and examined the bottom at a depth of 60 meters, then docked with the submarine model and ventilated its compartments.

Experts also checked the submarine's communication and power systems to assess the readiness of the rescue team to perform similar tasks in real conditions.
