The Russian marketplace "Avito Services" has introduced a new category — "Health," which will simplify the search and selection of medical clinics. Now, users will be able to compare offers for dentistry, ophthalmology, therapy, and other areas, studying ratings, reviews, and prices in one place.
The launch was a response to explosive demand: according to the company, the number of requests for dental services has increased 12-fold in a year. So far, placement is available in two subcategories — "Dentistry" and "Other," but the list of areas will expand in the future. All medical institutions undergo license verification before publication — data is checked against the Roszdravnadzor register. Ads are valid for 30 days, after which re-verification is required. This should minimize the risk of fraud and increase user confidence.
In addition, clinics gain access to demand analytics and promotion tools, which helps them find patients more accurately. According to Rosstat, the paid medicine market in Russia is the fifth largest, and by 2029 its turnover may reach 7.3 trillion rubles. The introduction of digital solutions on Avito may accelerate this growth. Previously, similar services were launched by Yandex and Sber.
