The Sukhoi Design Bureau has begun testing fifth-generation Su-57 fighters using artificial intelligence technologies. This was announced by Mikhail Strelets, General Designer of the fifth-generation combat aircraft.
According to him, the software was completely developed by specialists of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, from the operating system to ultra-complex programs, including those with elements of AI.
The fact is that one person simply cannot physically process all the information that a modern aircraft collects. The artificial intelligence of the Su-57, like a second pilot, helps to fly in such a way that the pilot can drop the control stick altogether and there will be no stall. It can give advice on which target is a priority, how to get the plane to the right place at the right time, and it will also help in an emergency.
Strelets added that in the near future, the artificial intelligence of the Su-57 "will be able to take over everything." Such tests have been going on for several months.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the secrets of the device of the engine with a flat nozzle for the Su-57 fighter were revealed.
