Su-57 fighter jet with artificial intelligence begins testing

AI will tell the pilot which target is a priority

The Sukhoi Design Bureau has begun testing fifth-generation Su-57 fighters using artificial intelligence technologies. This was announced by Mikhail Strelets, General Designer of the fifth-generation combat aircraft.

According to him, the software was completely developed by specialists of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, from the operating system to highly complex programs, including those with AI elements.

The thing is that one person simply cannot physically process all the information that a modern aircraft collects. The artificial intelligence of the Su-57, as a second pilot, helps to pilot in such a way that the pilot can drop the control stick altogether and stalling will not occur. It can give advice on which target is a priority, how to get the aircraft to the right place at the right time, and will also help in an emergency.

Strelets added that in the near future, the artificial intelligence of the Su-57 "will be able to take over everything." Such tests have been going on for several months.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the secrets of the design of an engine with a flat nozzle for the Su-57 fighter have become known.
