Shipbuilders at the Lenin Shipyard in Astrakhan laid down two universal dry cargo vessels of the RSD81 project, the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping reported.
The vessels are designed for the transportation of general and bulk cargo (including grain), 20- and 40-foot international standard containers (up to 385 TEU, including 160 TEU on hatch covers).
The RSD81 project dry cargo vessel can transport:
- lumber
- round timber
- scrap metal
- coal
- dangerous goods of various classes
The length of the dry cargo vessel is 141 m, the width is 16.98 m, and the capacity of the cargo holds is 13,295 cubic meters. Currently, the Lenin Shipyard is building 10 vessels of the RSD81 project under the order of the State Transport Leasing Company.
