The sea trials of the crab catching vessel "Kapitan Firsov" (CCa 5712LS project), which was built at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant, have been completed in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the customer - GC "Russian Crab".

The trials took place from May 5 in the area of Hogland Island in the Gulf of Finland. The plant workers checked the speed and maneuverability characteristics of the vessel, the operation of mechanisms and equipment. After setting up all systems, "Kapitan Firsov" will be handed over to the customer.

The crab catcher is designed for catching and transporting live crustaceans. The Onega shipbuilders built the third vessel of the CCa 5712LS project for GC "Russian Crab". The first two, "Kapitan Alexandrov" and "Kapitan Egorov," are already operating at sea.

Characteristics of vessels of the CCa 5712LS project: length — 57.66 m; width — 12.6 m; draft — 4.94 m; deadweight — 1181 t; tank volume – 689.85 cubic meters
