Technical details of advanced kamikaze drones "Geranium-5" have become known. The drones are equipped with cameras capable of transmitting video streams in real time.
This visual reconnaissance capability is an important resource, allowing to identify anti-aircraft guns firing tracer projectiles, which are easily detected from the air.
The system allows Russian operators to adjust impact trajectories with amazing accuracy.
SIM cards or 4G/LTE modems were also found in the drones. Cellular connections provide "Geraniums-5" with accurate telemetry, which is necessary for tracking and locating moving military equipment.
