The sky over the "Kapustin Yar" training ground was closed not before the launch of the "Oreshnik" medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM), but for another reason. This was reported by military expert Boris Rozhin, citing retired Colonel Aslan Nakhushev.
The sky over the Kapustin Yar training ground was temporarily closed for testing a new [complex] of anti-missile defense (ABM), and not for launching "Oreshnik".
According to the Telegram channel "Russian Weapon", we may be talking about another test of the 77N6 endoatmospheric interceptor missile of the anti-aircraft missile system S-500 with a high-altitude interception range of 50 - 60 km, an 18.6-Mach 53T6 interceptor missile, or a secret SAM interceptor with unknown parameters.
