The history of Aurus in Russia is coming to an end, barely having begun. 10 Hongqi HQ9 minivans and 20 Hongqi H9 sedans will participate in the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory instead of domestic representative-class cars. This was reported by the press service of the official representative of the brand.
However, this is only the beginning of Hongqi's expansion in Russia. The company's plans for 2025 include selling 12,000 cars through business-class taxis and government employees, as well as expanding the dealer network to 60 centers.
The Aurus convertible debuted at the Victory Parade in May 2019. Before that, Soviet ZIL-41041 AMG convertibles were used at the Victory Parade, which replaced the ZIL-41044 parade phaetons in overcoat color.
