The ban applies to the Neva River in the water area from the Annunciation Bridge to the Big Obukhov Bridge, the Malaya Neva River — from the Betancourt Bridge to the Neva, the Bolshaya Nevka River — from the Ushakovsky Bridge to the Neva, the Malaya Nevka River — from the Bolshoy Petrovsky Bridge to the Bolshaya Nevka, and also applies to the entire Kronverksky Strait, the Griboyedov Canal, the Moika River, the Fontanka River, the Kryukov Canal and the Winter Canal.

The exception is watercraft used by state authorities and in a number of other cases.

A ban was also introduced on parking and movement on personal mobility devices (electric scooters, gyro scooters and bicycles with an electric motor) during mass and congress and exhibition events. This restriction has already entered into force and will last until 16:00 on May 10 in the Admiralteysky, Vasileostrovsky, Moskovsky, Petrogradsky and Central districts, which is associated with the preparation and celebration of Victory Day.
