Найти аудиторию станет проще: СберУниверситет внедряет AR-навигацию

NaviAR technology from Sber Metaverse Tech allows you to navigate the campus without installing an app

SberUniversity has presented one of Russia's largest augmented reality navigation systems — Campus AR. The project covers 24 locations across 40 hectares and includes over 400 routing points. The solution is powered by NaviAR technology, developed by Sber Metaverse Tech, and does not require app installation: AppClip is used for iOS, and Instant App for Android.

Today, AR technologies are moving from the category of interactive entertainment to the category of important tools for digital transformation. At SberUniversity, they are becoming part of everyday experience. Together with colleagues from Sber Metaverse Tech, we have created convenient navigation that will help guests and students not get lost among the dozens of campus locations.
Alexey Shvetsov, IT Director of SberUniversity

The system analyzes the image from the smartphone's camera, determines the user's location, and projects the route directly onto the screen in real time. The display shows indicators that are superimposed on the image of the real world. This helps to easily navigate the campus.

The near-term plans include adding an AR quest for an interactive introduction to the infrastructure. Similar solutions are already being tested in metaverses, but Campus AR stands out for its scale of offline implementation.
