After a series of modifications, it became capable of firing up to 10 rounds per minute. In addition, the self-propelled gun received an upgraded automated guidance and fire control system with improved accuracy characteristics, as well as the ability to display an electronic map of the area.

In the basic version, the "Krasnopol", in addition to the high-explosive fragmentation guided projectile, includes a laser designator rangefinder, with which the projectile is guided to the target. The range of the ammunition is more than 20 km, and the weight of the warhead is 8 kg.
