One way to combat unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) may be to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was stated by Denis Fedutinov, an expert in the field of unmanned aviation.
According to him, improved USVs are better protected and pose a greater danger to ships and aircraft. Fedutinov emphasized that the "Lancet" UAV can be used to combat them.
Their new modifications are capable of hitting targets at a range of tens of kilometers. At the same time, they could operate in conjunction with reconnaissance drones, which would carry out reconnaissance, detection and recognition of targets and provide their coordinates for kamikaze drones.
Fedutinov added that Russian military could also use larger UAVs that are capable of performing long-duration flights and carrying both reconnaissance and high-precision strike weapons on board.
For example, the "Inokhodets" and "Forpost" UAVs have such capabilities. It would also be possible to consider using unmanned helicopter-type vehicles of significant size.
