One way to combat unmanned boats (BEC) may be to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was stated by Denis Fedutinov, an expert in the field of unmanned aviation.
According to him, advanced BECs are better protected and pose a greater danger to ships and aircraft. Fedutinov stressed that the Lancet UAV can be used to combat them.
Their new modifications are capable of hitting targets at a range of tens of kilometers. At the same time, they could operate in conjunction with reconnaissance drones, which would carry out reconnaissance, detection and recognition of targets and issue their coordinates for kamikaze drones.
Fedutinov added that the Russian military could also use larger classes of UAVs that have the ability to perform long-duration flights and carry both reconnaissance and high-precision strike weapons on board.
For example, the Inokhodets and Forpost UAVs have such capabilities. It would also be possible to consider using unmanned helicopters of substantial size.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov showed a model of the latest KUB-2-E strike drone at the exhibition.
