Drones to Start Transporting People: Heavy Cargo UAV Production to be Established in the Far East

Additionally, plans are in place to produce engines and onboard computers for drones

The company "G Rus," as a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV), will create an innovative production facility for heavy unmanned aerial systems for cargo transportation and medical evacuation. The project's capacity will be 60 units per year.

The development of the IT sector and the electronics industry opens up new prospects not only for the Far East but also for the entire country in the face of growing demand for unmanned technologies in various fields. The "G Rus" team has done a great job in designing and testing domestic developments. The next step is to launch mass production and expand the product line.

The company "G Rus" is to develop a line of cargo unmanned aerial systems of the copter type with a carrying capacity of up to 200 kg. They will be able to be used for the transportation of military cargo and the evacuation of the wounded. The company will also begin mass production of domestic electronic components (onboard computers, ECS speed controllers, and electric motors for drones).

The Russian civilian market for unmanned aerial vehicles is demonstrating initial growth and increasing demand. The active development of this area is bringing closer an innovative breakthrough, when the country's leading enterprises will create the conditions for the introduction of appropriate technologies, noted Sergey Legkiy, director of the company "G Rus."

According to the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), in the Primorsky Territory, residents of the Free Port of Vladivostok are implementing 1816 projects, of which 513 have already been put into operation.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that WingedBull 01XS and WingedBull 01XL tiltrotors will begin to be used for cargo transportation in the Arctic and Siberia.
