The Russian BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle has a feature that other IFVs do not have. Even with the turret completely closed by anti-drone screens, the "troika" has the ability to use anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).
The fact is that ATGMs are launched from it not from special guides, but through the barrel of a 100-mm rifled gun 2A70.
The missiles used, with a maximum range of up to 5,500 meters, are guided to the target by a laser beam. The tandem warhead can penetrate armor reinforced with dynamic protection.
As a result, it becomes possible to hit main battle tanks and Western M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley infantry fighting vehicles at long distances.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Lancets" have learned to track down American AN/TPQ radars.
