The Russian Emergencies Ministry has filed a lawsuit against the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) to recover over 428 million rubles in advance payments and penalties for violating the terms of a state contract.
According to the case materials, the reason for going to court was the disruption of obligations by USC, which led the Emergencies Ministry to terminate the contract.
USC is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia with an annual turnover of over 400 billion rubles. The corporation fulfills orders for the navy and develops civil shipbuilding, building vessels for operation in the open sea, inland waterways and on the shelf.
For the Ministry of Defense, USC has developed Project 20380 corvettes, code "Steregushchy," with Kalibr missiles.
