The nuclear submarine "Krasnoyarsk" of project 885M "Yasen-M" during a planned exercise in the Pacific Ocean struck a coastal target with a "Caliber" cruise missile.
During the planned exercise, the submarine made a stealthy transition to the designated area of the Pacific Ocean, from where it launched a "Caliber" cruise missile at a coastal target. The cruise missile successfully hit a coastal target at the Kura training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula. The distance to the target exceeded 1100 km.
In the second stage of the exercise, the nuclear submarine missile cruiser "Krasnoyarsk" searched for a submarine of a mock enemy and attacked it with a missile-torpedo of an anti-submarine complex. According to objective control data, the warhead of the missile-torpedo hit the simulated underwater target.
"Krasnoyarsk" is the second nuclear submarine missile cruiser of project 885M "Yasen-M", built at the "Sevmash" shipbuilding plant. In December 2023, "Krasnoyarsk" was accepted into the Russian Navy.
