A number of new weapons will be demonstrated at the upcoming Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9 in Moscow. One of them may be the innovative medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) "Oreshnik", according to deputy Andrei Kartopolov.
Also, according to Kartopolov, special attention will be paid to drones at the upcoming parade, which have become one of the main "workhorses" for the military.
As for "Oreshnik" - let it be a little surprise. And if it is shown, it will be a surprise, and if it is not shown, too. So I will remain silent on this matter.
New military equipment is regularly demonstrated at the Victory Parade on May 9. For example, in 2024, the Typhoon K-53949 "Phoenix" armored car appeared on it for the first time, and a year earlier, viewers were shown the 3-STS "Akhmat" and AMN-59095 "VPK-Ural" armored cars.
Combat units of "Oreshnik" attack targets at speeds up to 10 Mach or about 3 km/s. The range of the missile is up to 5 500 km.
