Lada dealers have begun accepting pre-orders for the new Iskra, which will begin mass production this coming Saturday, April 19.
The Pragmatika dealer network noted that there are inquiries, but there are few so far. Customers are interested in seeing the car live first. The launch date of Iskra sales has not been officially announced, but, basically, cars appear at dealers a month after being put on the assembly line.
The expected price of Lada Iskra in the basic configuration is 1.3 million rubles, the car will be equipped with a 90 hp engine and a five-speed manual gearbox. A variation with a 106 hp engine paired with a variator or "mechanics" will also be available.
According to the insider public Avtograd, the number of defects in pre-production Iskra models is from 50 to 70 per vehicle.
Earlier, the first Lada Iskra cars arrived at AvtoVAZ dealerships. Most likely, these are demonstration models.
