Lada dealers have started accepting pre-orders for the new Iskra, which will begin mass production this coming Saturday, April 19.
The Pragmatika dealer network noted that there have been inquiries, but not many yet. Customers are interested in seeing the car in person first. The official start date for Iskra sales has not been announced, but cars usually appear at dealerships a month after production begins.
The expected price of the Lada Iskra in the basic configuration is 1.3 million rubles. The car will be equipped with a 90 hp engine and a five-speed manual transmission. A variation with a 106 hp engine paired with a CVT or manual transmission will also be available.
According to the insider public Avtograd, the number of defects on pre-production Iskra models is from 50 to 70 per vehicle.
Earlier, the first Lada Iskra cars arrived at AvtoVAZ dealerships. Most likely, these are demonstration models.
