The statistical reliability of Russian RD-107/RD-108 engines for the Soyuz family of space rockets has reached 99.9%. This was reported by the United Engine Corporation (ODK).
The units are produced at "ODK-Kuznetsov" in the Samara region — a modern, advanced enterprise that is mastering new materials, technologies, and digitizing all stages of production from the purchase of materials to the production of finished products.
RD-107/RD-108 engines equip the first and second stages of all launch vehicles based on the R-7, including modern Soyuz rockets. In total, they have been used in 2003 rocket launches.
The manufacturing technology has been refined in every detail throughout the entire cycle — from pre-production to testing of finished products. This is what gives the engines a unique statistical reliability of 99.9%.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec will supply more than 50 engines for the Soyuz family of rockets in 2025.
