AvtoVAZ has announced the suspension of Lada Granta car production from April 25 this year. This day will be the last working day before the start of the downtime, which will last due to a large-scale modernization of the assembly line.
In the period from April 28 to April 30, employees of the enterprise will receive 2/3 of their salaries and tariff rates. From May 1 to May 11, the plant will begin its spring corporate vacation, during which work will also not be carried out.
Specialists will be engaged in readjusting and re-equipping the production line to launch a new model — Lada Iskra.
Lada Granta remains the company's undisputed bestseller. The modernization of the assembly line is aimed at improving production processes and launching new models.
The AvtoVAZ press service denies information about the production shutdown.
