The company "HydroStroy" launched the first of four barges (dredgers) Florian-501 of the BCD-3412 project for conducting mooring tests. This was reported by the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport.
The barge is equipped with piles, an excavator and anchor holding systems for efficient dredging operations. The vessel will be involved in the reconstruction of the navigation locks 15-16 of the Gorodetsky hydraulic structure. The project includes the creation of a navigable canal from Gorodets to Nizhny Novgorod.
Such vessels were developed for inland waterways in Russia for the first time. These are prefabricated barges (dredgers) that consist of nine parts and can be transported by car. The vessels are designed to work on heavy soils.
The excavators are equipped with interchangeable buckets - a rock bucket for 3 cubic meters and a ripper bucket for 1.8 cubic meters, a hardware and software complex for three-dimensional positioning and anchor holding systems.
