Rosatom plans to install the reactor vessel at the first unit of the El Dabaa NPP in November 2025, as announced by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the State Corporation.
The construction of all four units is proceeding in full accordance with the plan. We are looking forward to a very exciting event - the installation of the reactor vessel at the first power unit. I think in November.
The El Dabaa NPP is being built on the northern coast of Egypt, 3.5 km from the Mediterranean Sea. Four power units will be built at the station. The station will be commissioned in 2028.
The investment in the construction of the El Dabaa NPP willexceed the cost of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. The facility has become the largest nuclear construction project in the world.
