Rosatom plans to install the reactor vessel at the first unit of the El Dabaa NPP in November 2025, as announced by the Director General of the State Corporation, Alexey Likhachev.
The construction of all four units is proceeding in full accordance with the plan. We are looking forward to a very exciting event — the installation of the reactor vessel at the first power unit. I think it will be in November.
The El Dabaa NPP is being built on the northern coast of Egypt, 3.5 km from the Mediterranean Sea. Four power units will be built at the station. The station is scheduled to be commissioned in 2028.
The investment volume in the construction of the El Dabaa NPP will exceed the costs of the Akkuyu NPP construction in Turkey. The project has become the largest nuclear construction site in the world.
