ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are used to prepare strikes by Geran-2 kamikaze drones. The ZALA group of companies spoke about the "eyes" of the strike drones.
It is noted that the "Geraniums" do not have a built-in reconnaissance system, so UAV operators often rely on data from Z-16 drone cameras.
The ZALA device is capable of transmitting images in real time at a distance of over 75 km, the company said.
Zala Z-16 drones conduct reconnaissance of targets and enemy actions, and then provide target designation for detected objects to the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces.
Footage has appeared on the Web of "Geran-2" drones thathave been equipped with a new warhead made of wood and metal.
