ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are used to prepare strikes by "Geran-2" kamikaze drones. The ZALA group of companies spoke about the "eyes" of the strike drones.
It is noted that the "Geraniums" do not have a built-in reconnaissance system, so operators of strike UAVs often rely on data from Z-16 drone cameras.
The ZALA device is capable of transmitting images in real time at a distance of over 75 km, the company noted.
Zala Z-16 drones conduct reconnaissance of targets and enemy actions, and then provide target designation for detected objects to the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces.
Footage has appeared on the Web of "Geran-2" drones that have been equipped with a new warhead made of wood and metal.
