Footage of Russian "Geran-2" kamikaze drones has appeared online. The strike drones are equipped with a new warhead made of wood and metal.
The Telegram channel "Osvodmitel" noted that the purpose of a drone with such a warhead remains in question.
Installing such a warhead deprives the "Geran-2" of its strike functions, and the military uses cheaper "Gerber" and "Parody" drones as false targets.
Specifications of the "Geran" UAV:
Length - 3.5 m, wingspan - 2.5 m, flight altitude - from 60 to 4000 m, ammunition weight - 90 kg, speed - 150-180 km/h, loitering time - 10-12 hours.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia has found a way to make aircraft engine blades ultra-durable and heat-resistant.
