The amount of Tatneft's claims against Tupolev JSC has increased to 7.2 billion rubles. The court added 1.6 billion rubles to the claims for interest.
At a meeting of the Arbitration Court of Tatarstan on April 2, Tatneft asked the court to accept for production a request for the accrual of interest on the amount of debt in the amount of 1,612,227,539.44 rubles, as well as interest for the use of other people's money and to accrue on the amount of debt for the period from April 3 to the date of the court decision.
A representative of Tupolev JSC, in turn, asked the court to postpone the consideration of the case again, since the company continues negotiations on signing a settlement agreement with Tatneft. The next meeting is scheduled for April 30.
PJSC Tatneft filed a lawsuit for 5.6 billion rubles at the end of October. Among the defendants are the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov - a branch of Tupolev (Kazan) and Tupolev JSC (Moscow). According to the case file, it concerns the recovery of unjust enrichment, the recognition of a clause of the contract as invalid.
Tupolev is an enterprise in the field of design, production and after-sales support of missile carriers and special-purpose aircraft. Tupolev is the parent company of the strategic and special aviation division of the United Aircraft Corporation, the manufacturer of Tu-160 strategic missile carriers.
