The Uralchimmash plant (part of the Sinara Group) has developed a unique R-101 reactor for the production of urea, which is widely used in the agrochemical industry. Similar devices were last manufactured at the enterprise in the mid-1980s. This was reported in the press service of the plant.
The R-101 reactor is designed for the synthesis of urea from ammonia and carbon dioxide under high pressure and temperature. Materials were used for its manufacture to ensure corrosion resistance, operational reliability, and protection against the aggressive effects of reaction products.
The reactor design allows maintaining a temperature of 190 °C and a pressure of 15.5 MPa. The productivity of R-101 is over 3000 tons of mineral fertilizers per day.
The weight of the reactor is 332 tons, the diameter is 2.35 meters, and the height is 52 meters, which is comparable to the height of an 18-story building. A 24-axle coupled railway transporter was used to deliver the equipment to the customer's site.
The reactor set a new record for the enterprise in terms of mass and size, surpassing Soviet counterparts.
Work on this order revives our technological competencies in the field of creating equipment for the production of mineral fertilizers, strengthens the company's competitive position and expands the range of products for the domestic market.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Kaliningradsky Kaliy launched the processing of peat into organic fertilizers for plants.
