Avideo has appeared online showing a Su-34 fighter-bomber dropping two FAB-3000 air bombs with universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) at once.
The maximum combat load of the Su-34 is 8000 kg. The aircraft can carry up to three FAB-3000s on external hardpoints, but this will negatively affect maneuverability and range, i.e., safety.
According to open sources, the potential radius of complete destruction of the FAB-3000 is 230 m, while its fragments retain their killing power up to 1240 m. The ammunition is mainly used when storming heavily fortified areas.
Modern technologies will allow these bombs to be turned into a high-precision projectile that will accurately hit the target with minimal circular error probable.
