The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial holding delivered 3 RPK-640 boats, 13 PK-500 boats and 2 Kasatka-2M.850 boats to Russian state structures in March. This was reported by the holding's press service.
RPK-640 is designed for patrolling and operational work as a service and passenger and rescue water transport.Characteristics: length - 6.99 m, width - 2.35 m, engine power - 200 hp, maximum speed - 65 km/h, crew - 6 people.
PK-500 is a patrol boat for solving a wide range of special tasks. It is capable of instantly planing (moving on water, in which the vessel rises and is held above the surface due to the oncoming speed pressure of water). Unsinkable, always stable on the water.Characteristics: length - 5 m, width - 2.3 m, engine power - 115 hp, crew - 6 people.
The"Kasatka-2M.850" boat was developed by order of special services. The main feature of the vessel is a power plant of two engines with a total power of 500 hp. The boat develops a speed of up to 90 km/h. Length depending on the model - 8.9-9.3m, width - 2.5 m, draft - 0.4 m.
