The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has announced an increase in state support for electric vehicles. The maximum discount on electric Gazelles now reaches 2 million rubles. The new measures apply to models of categories N2 and M2, including vans and minibuses e-Gazelle.
The department also revised the terms of preferential leasing for public transport, increasing the subsidy from 10% to 40%. Now discounts cover cars manufactured in the last quarter of 2024.
Despite these measures, commercial electric vehicles are not yet in high demand — in February, bus sales decreased threefold. The previous discount of 925 thousand rubles could not compensate for the difference in cost between electric and diesel versions.
Taking into account the new discount, the price of the Gazelle e-NN minibus is reduced to 5.7 million rubles, while diesel counterparts cost from 3.8 to 4 million rubles, depending on the modification.
Earlier www1.ru reported that old Gazelles are being rebuilt into new Gazelle NN.
