According to "Autostat", the company "Modern Transport Technologies" has started supplying dealers with "GAZelle NN" and "Sobol NN" commercial vehicles with a new 2.5-liter diesel engine.
The engine is equipped with a cast iron cylinder block, a forged steel crankshaft, and an aluminum cylinder head. The engine weight is 220-228 kg depending on the modification. The design uses hydraulic compensators, and the timing drive is belt-driven, which makes the engine quite quiet.
The torque is 420 N·m, the power compared to the 2.8-liter engine has increased by 7%, but did not exceed the tax-advantageous threshold of 150 hp. High efficiency is ensured by a small working volume and high fuel injection pressure - 2000 bar.
