New Generation Russian Tanks to be Equipped with Kamikaze Drones and Standard Radars

Neural networks will help the crew identify the most priority targets

Equipping the "tanks of the future" will allow for quick adaptation to various battlefield conditions and increase the situational awareness of crews. This was reported by Uralvagonzavod (part of Rostec).

The company clarified that promising combat vehicles will receive new optical systems, onboard drones, and standard radar stations (radars), which will allow the military to better navigate the battlefield.

Information processed by a neural network with elements of artificial intelligence will help automatically identify targets and highlight objects for priority engagement based on priority. In addition, tanks will be integrated into a single information and combat system.

Standard radars will allow tank crews to detect targets even in poor visibility conditions, such as difficult weather conditions or smoke, which will increase their combat effectiveness.

Onboard drones will be able to identify camouflaged enemy positions, conduct reconnaissance at a distance, and transmit data to the crew in real time, reducing the risk of being ambushed.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Akhmat" armored vehicle survived attacks by seven kamikaze drones and drove to the rear on three wheels.
