According to him, the lead aircraft in the squadron has a combined suspension configuration adapted to both anti-radar tasks and the use of R-37M missiles with an interception radius of 150-270 km, depending on the launch echelon.
These two-seat vehicles received high-energy Irbis-E phased array radars with a target detection range of the F-16AM type against the background of the earth's surface of about 250-270 km, and against the background of open airspace - up to 400 km.
The analyst added that technically, the crews of the Su-30SM2 are also capable of issuing target designation to the S-400 and S-350A anti-aircraft systems for low-altitude enemy cruise missiles.
