A MT-LB transporter with an increased troop compartment has been spotted among Russian military forces. The footage has surfaced on social media.
The photo shows the troop compartment of the tracked MT-LB, known as "Motolyga", which has been modified. The height of the hull has been increased, making it easier for soldiers to board and disembark.
The "two-story" MT-LB has also received camouflage nets and slat screens to protect against drones.
The MT-LB was adopted into service in 1964. The tracked vehicle accommodates 11 military personnel. The floating transporter is equipped with a 240 hp engine, providing a maximum speed of over 60 km/h.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that an amphibious all-terrain vehicle with a propeller for delivering food has been developed for the military.
