A new thermal sight for large-caliber machine guns has been developed in Russia. The product allows hitting targets at a distance of up to 2 km in complete darkness, said Igor Potapov, an official representative of JSC "NPP".
According to him, the sight allows observation through a built-in monitor, which ensures a long stay without eye fatigue in night conditions.
The system has the ability to connect augmented reality glasses and remote monitors, FHD resolution. The sight is designed to engage air, ground and surface targets at any time of the day.
Potapov specified that the detection range of manpower is 2.5 km, vehicles - up to 3 km. The new sight is the first mobile and autonomous complex equipped with a laser rangefinder up to 3 km and a system for quickly entering ballistic corrections.
