A detachment of ships of the Russian Navy conducted a joint exercise with the Naval Forces of Pakistan in the Arabian Sea. This was reported in the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Russia was represented in the maneuvers by a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet consisting of the corvettes "Aldar Tsydenzhapov" and "Rezkiy" of Project 20380, as well as the tanker "Pechenga".
Corvettes of Project 20380 are designed to destroy submarines and surface ships of the enemy, solve various tasks in the near sea zone and ensure the landing of troops.
The armament of the ships includes launchers for anti-ship missiles "Uran" or "Caliber-NK", an anti-aircraft missile system, artillery installations, machine gun installations and grenade launchers. They have anti-torpedo and anti-submarine protection.
Earlier www1.ru reported that specialists turned a kamikaze drone into a missile, accelerating it to 280 km/h.
