Submarines equipped with the integrated Kalibr-PLE missile system are becoming a formidable force at sea and on land, Rosoboronexport's press service reported.
Kalibr-PLE is designed to engage surface ships of various classes in conditions of intense fire and electronic countermeasures, as well as stationary ground targets and submarines in conditions of acoustic countermeasures.
The main components of the system: anti-ship missile 3M-54E, cruise missile for engaging ground targets 3M-14E, anti-submarine missile 91RE1 and Universal Fire Control System 3R-14P as part of it.
Missile characteristics:
3M-54E: range - up to 220 km, combat stage speed - 700 m/s, cruising altitude - 20 m, approaching the target - 5 m;
3M-14E: range - up to 275 km, cruising altitude - 20/50–150 m above sea / above land, approaching the target - 50...150 m;
91RE1: range - up to 50 km, speed - 830 m/s, cruising altitude - up to 12,000 m.
