Россия и Тунис намерены организовать совместные космические полёты

The two countries signed an agreement on joint space flights and the development of industrial production

Russia and Tunisia have announced the preparation of an agreement aimed at cooperation in the peaceful exploration of space. One of the key areas will be the joint implementation of manned space flights. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Tunisia.

The parties already have experience of interaction: in 2021, the Russian Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket successfully launched the first Tunisian communications satellite, Challenge One, into orbit. The event was an important step in the development of Tunisia's space program.

Under the new agreement, it is planned to create five more spacecraft, which will allow Tunisia to expand its capabilities in satellite communications and Earth observation.

Russia is ready to share its technologies and experience, and Tunisia seeks to integrate into international scientific projects. An important aspect of cooperation will be the exchange of knowledge in the field of space research. We are talking about training specialists and conducting joint scientific research.

In addition to space, Russia and Tunisia are considering opportunities for the development of industrial cooperation. Tunisia is interested in the supply of Russian equipment, especially in the fields of agriculture and mining. Localization of production in Tunisia may open up new markets for Russian companies.

Agriculture also remains an important part of bilateral relations. Russia supplies Tunisia with agro-industrial products, including dairy products and grain. In turn, Tunisian products, such as olive oil and seafood, are in demand in Russia.

Tunisia sees Russia as a reliable partner and seeks to strengthen ties, which is especially important against the background of economic difficulties. Cooperation with Russia opens up new horizons for both countries, contributing to the development of the economy and science.
