AvtoVAZ has been producing the Lada Niva Sport for two months already. However, since January 14, when the company announced the start of industrial assembly, only 20 production vehicles and 16 painted bodies have been produced.
Considering that the car plant has 338 official dealers, it would take a very long time for each of them to receive at least one car. From the very beginning, it was clear that this would be a niche product, and it would be naive to expect any incredible production volumes.
Lada Sport is engaged in small-scale production of cars. Daily assembly does not exceed 16 cars. The lineup includes the Granta Sport and Sportline, Vesta Sportline, and now the Niva Sport.
Earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, announced that the Lada Niva Sport will have two engine versions. The base model will receive a 1.6-liter engine with 122 horsepower, which is also installed on the Lada Granta Sport. The top version will be equipped with a 1.8-liter engine.
