Russian military personnel have equipped the "Tigr-M" armored vehicle with the universal "Arbalet" combat module. The footage appeared on social networks.
The automated module is designed to engage enemy personnel, firing points, vehicles, and aerial targets. "Arbalet" can be installed on tracked and wheeled armored vehicles, surface vessels, and stationary object protection points.
The module is equipped with a 12.7 mm or 7.62 mm tank machine gun, and is a rotating platform on which weapons with ammunition, aiming drives, and a sighting and observation system with a laser rangefinder are mounted.
The operator's workplace includes remote weapon control devices, a digital panel with a built-in ballistic computer, and is located inside the habitable hull of the installation object.
The "Triton" electronic warfare system provides protection for the crew against air attacks.
Characteristics of the "Arbalet" combat module:
- Full combat weight — no more than 250 kg
- Sighting range — 2000 m
- Ammunition 12.7/7.62 mm — 450/750 rounds
- Stabilizer — two-plane, electromechanical
