TK-208 "Dmitry Donskoy" is a Soviet and Russian heavy nuclear-powered missile submarine of strategic designation of project 941 "Akula", the largest strategic submarine in the world. The lead ship of the "Dmitry Donskoy" series was laid down at the "Northern Machine-Building Enterprise" (now JSC "Sevmash") in June 1976.

It was launched in September 1980, and in December 1981 the cruiser became part of the Navy. In 2002 and 2008, it underwent repair and modernization.

It was re-equipped for testing the "Bulava" missile system, for which a new launch cup was inserted into one of the silos for R-39 missiles with a launch weight of 90 tons for the significantly smaller "Bulava" missile.
