Telegram announced a new feature that will allow to "freeze" accounts of users who violate the rules of the messenger. Journalists drew attention to this.
Users whose accounts are frozen will only be able to view messages, sending them or other actions will be unavailable. These restrictions may even affect private correspondence with contacts. Frozen accounts will be marked with a special status that will be visible to other users.
Users will be able to appeal the freeze through the SpamBot bot. If the restrictions are not lifted within the specified period, the account will be permanently deleted.
It is important to note that this feature is under development. Some of its aspects may change before the official release.
