A new Tu-214 aircraft with serial number 535 was painted at the Minsk Civil Aviation Plant. It became the first new airliner of the series built in three and a half years.
The footage published online shows that the aircraft was painted in white and brown tones. The registration number of the aircraft can be seen on board — RA-64535. The aircraft arrived for painting in Minsk on February 24 and flew back to Kazan on March 10.
The aircraft was built for the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation as a VIP aircraft. It became the first Tu-214 to take to the air in three and a half years.
Thus, at present, 35 Tu-214 aircraft have been built at the Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ), and the total number of Tu-204/Tu-214 family aircraft built in the USSR and Russia since 1989, together with prototypes, amounted to 91 units.
