Updated Rosa Mobile 2.0 Operating System for "R-Phone" Smartphone Unveiled in Russia

A new version of the Rosa Mobile 2.0 mobile operating system for the "R-Phone" smartphone has been released in Russia. The update includes improved functions, a redesigned interface, and enhanced stability. This was announced by the press service of STC IT ROSA.

Now, the initial phone setup is faster and more convenient thanks to a new design. Animation has been added, screen rotation has been accelerated, and the ability to use the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot has been introduced. USSD requests are supported, and the email client now synchronizes messages better.

The "Rosa Import" application has been created to transfer contacts from Android to "R-Phone." The user needs to connect two phones via Bluetooth, install the application, and follow the instructions.

The Android emulator has also received important updates. It now limits resource consumption, synchronizes files, and displays notifications from Android applications. A fourth button has been added to the navigation bar, and the old panel has been removed for convenience.

A "Hotspot" section has appeared in the system settings, where you can configure the internet connection. The user can select the encryption type, set the network name, and password. The location of the "About Device" and "Security" items has also changed. The file manager, phone, messages, mail, browser, calendar, gallery, and camera have been improved.

The "R-Phone" smartphone was developed jointly by STC IT ROSA and "Rutek." It was introduced in December 2023 and is assembled in Saransk. It is included in the register of domestic equipment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
