The Blood Moon will appear in the sky on March 14 of this year. The Earth's satellite eclipse will last six hours. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Planetarium.
It will last from 06:57 to 13:00 Moscow time. The full shadow phase will last one hour and five minutes (from 09:26 to 10:31 Moscow time).
In Russia, only residents of the Chukotka Peninsula, where evening will have already arrived, will be able to see the eclipse. In Kamchatka and the Magadan Region, only the final phase of this astronomical phenomenon will be visible.
Residents of other regions of Russia will not be able to observe the Blood Moon. At this time, the Earth's satellite will be below the horizon.
The eclipse will be clearly visible in the waters of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, as well as in North and South America, Antarctica, Alaska, Western Europe, and West Africa.
