Мощная вспышка предпоследнего класса произошла на Солнце

Disturbances lasted about three minutes

On Tuesday, a pre-penultimate class flare of M power was recorded on the Sun. This was reported at the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI "IPG").

This is the first flare of this magnitude since March 5.

On March 11 at 15:04 Moscow time, an M1.1 (N05W46) flare with a duration of 3 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range.

Depending on the power of X-ray radiation, solar flares are divided into five classes: A, B, C, M, and X. Class M flares cause minor radio interference on the Earth's day side.
