Lada Iskra is preparing to debut: sedan and station wagon are shown side by side in a group photo. Sales are scheduled to start in May 2025.
Fresh photos of pre-production units of the new Lada Iskra car, presented in two body styles - sedan and station wagon, have appeared on the Internet. Production of the model is already underway, but the official start of mass production is scheduled for April 19, 2025.
At the plant in Togliatti, 13 pre-production units were assembled over the past week, while the number of defects characteristic of this stage was significantly reduced - to 80 defects per car.
According to preliminary data, the acceleration dynamics of the model leave much to be desired. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes from 12.4 to 13.4 seconds, depending on the version, which is noticeably inferior to the Lada Granta, which accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds in the top configuration. The maximum speed of Iskra reaches 175 km/h, while Granta has this figure at 184 km/h. The fuel consumption of Iskra is from 7.2 to 7.8 liters per 100 km.
AvtoVAZ has also prepared a special batch of Lada Iskra for the official press park, which means active promotion of the model in the media and its subsequent presentation to a wide audience.
