Russian-made Komatsu HD785 mining dump truck gets a body from Severstal

The body was adapted for operation in Siberian mines

Severstal specialists have designed a prototype body for the Komatsu HD785 mining dump truck (manufactured at the plant in Yaroslavl). This was reported by the press service of the steel company.

The body was manufactured by NovosibARZ.

Advantages of the development:

  • Metal consumption reduced by 16%
  • Production costs reduced by 10%

High-strength steels from the POWERS line will be used to create the body - wear-resistant Powerhard 450, high-strength and excellent weldability Powerweld 420.

The common task of the enterprises was to make a body adapted to the harsh operating conditions in Siberian mines.

The development will undergo pilot industrial tests in Yakutia, after testing a decision will be made on the launch of mass production.
