The BMP-1AM "Basurmanin" infantry fighting vehicle has been modernized for modern combat conditions. The vehicle received a new combat module, improved navigation, communication and protection equipment, which makes it more effective on the modern battlefield.
Unlike the old version with a low-power 73-mm "Grom" gun, the "Basurmanin" is equipped with a 30-mm 2A72 automatic gun, similar to the one on the BMP-2. This significantly increased the range of target engagement and the firepower of the combat vehicle.
Also, the "Basurmanin" received a new fire control system, allowing for more accurate fire. New communication and navigation tools have improved coordination with other units.
BMP-1AM is a modernization of the legendary Soviet BMP-1, which was called "kopeyka" in the troops. The combat vehicle combines a time-tested design with modern technologies.
