The military has begun testing a new short-range anti-aircraft defense (AAD) system designed to destroy small drones. Craftsmen have combined three 7.62x54 mm PKM machine guns into a single complex.
The triple machine gun mount is designed to shoot down targets such as the heavy Baba Yaga hexacopter and large fixed-wing drones.
In this situation, the importance of shooting accuracy has increased. Now, large drones need to be destroyed as quickly as possible upon detection. We are responding by manufacturing a machine gun mount with powerful rifle cartridges, which will increase the density of fire.
The survivability of such UAVs has increased significantly, and they have begun to suspend armored plates from bulletproof vests under them. Therefore, a more powerful cartridge is needed for destruction.
