Индия склоняется к покупке истребителей Су-57: американские F-35 больше не нужны

Analysts believe India will choose Russian fighters due to problems with F-35 localization

The Indian government is considering the possibility of acquiring Russian Su-57 fighters to replace American F-35s due to difficulties with integration into military systems and the organization of local production.

Analysts believe that even recent statements by US President Donald Trump about the possibility of supplying F-35s to India will not solve these problems.

Former Pentagon official Stephen Bryen noted that the Indian government faces problems with the high cost of the F-35, operational challenges, and complex maintenance. Bryen noted that India has to decide whether they are ready to invest in the F-35, knowing about a more favorable offer from Russia.

The Russian side provides more attractive conditions, including the transfer of production technologies, which may be a decisive factor for India. In a situation where the Pentagon does not agree to Narendra Modi's demands for joint production of F-35 elements in India, Russia's offer looks more promising.

Trump stated about US plans to increase arms supplies to India by "many billions", including the transfer of F-35 fighters.
